MADE: Perspective Drawing from Paper to the Screen!
Learn how to draw objects that pop out of the page--on paper and then on a computer!
Age range: 10 to 16
In this class, students will develop their geometric intuition as it relates to homogeneous coordinates and camera projection.
That was a mouthful; now what does that mean?
Well, everything we see is projected on to a flat surface in the back of our eyes! This basically means that our visual perception of our 3D world is on a 2D surface. To create images that look like they pop out of a page or screen, we need to use something called linear perspective.
In this class, we teach you how linear perspective works, and one way to achieve this on a computer. We'll provide all the materials--just show up, and be ready to draw and have your minds blown! As always, we'll have to play some video games for "research" :D.
